Our Mission at Mountain View:

At Mountain View our teachers, administration, and staff work together to provide a foundation for our students’ highest potential by instilling responsibility and respect while helping students develop a positive self-image in a safe environment.

Profile:

With a little over 400 students, we are a small neighborhood school nestled in the foothills of Tujunga, CA.  In 2006, we were recognized as a California Distinguished School.  In 2007, we received the Title I Academic Achievement Award.    We have a state preschool on campus and offer full day K—5 instruction corresponding with the traditional 180 day school calendar.

Among our many offerings are a gifted studies program, a full time resource program for special needs students, and a full time library aide.  We offer all students visual arts, dance, choral music, and theater.

Parents are encouraged to become involved in our PTA which raises vital funds to support field trips and equipment for our school.
